Story Corps

StoryCorps is an independent nonprofit project whose mission is to honor and celebrate one another’s lives through listening. Since 2003, tens of thousands of everyday people have interviewed family and friends through StoryCorps. Each conversation is recorded on a free CD to take home and share, and is archived for generations to come at the Library of Congress.
Everybody's story matters. Every life counts.
The heart of StoryCorps is the conversation between two people who are important to each other. You can talk about anything that matters to you. By helping people to stop, listen and connect with each other, the StoryCorps experience is powerful and sometimes even life changing.
Brooklyn Public Library's Service to the Aging and StoryCorps invites you to come share your stories at the Foley Square recording booth (across from City Hall in Manhattan). Choose an interview partner, like a friend or family member, make a reservation by calling 646 723 7020 ext. 202 and tell your story.
